Sunstar launches its Discovery mentoring program

The Sunstar Discovery Program is a collaborative effort between Sunstar Americas and RDH magazine to encourage mentoring and networking between dental hygienists. The program’s first interaction between hygienists will occur during the RDH Under One Roof conference in Las Vegas on Aug. 1, 2012.

The Sunstar Discovery Program will select 20 hygienists to participate in the program along with past and present recipients of the Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction. The award is an annual award hosted by Sunstar Americas and PennWell Corp. (the publisher of RDH magazine).

“Each year, this highly recognized group of professionals (past and present recipients of the Award of Distinction) spends an evening together to share the accomplishments and achievements of the past year while welcoming the new members,” said Jackie Sanders, RDH, the manager of Sunstar Americas’ professional relations and communications. “To expand the knowledge and experience of this talented group, Sunstar Americas has chosen to introduce the Sunstar Discovery Program.”

Sanders urged “up-and-coming future leaders in dental hygiene” to share their experience with the participants at the Aug. 1 reception. Participants must be registered for attendance at RDH Under One Roof and be available to attend the 6 p.m. reception. To apply, click here.
