Study shows periodontal disease more common and more severe among those with rheumatoid arthritis

A recent study that appeared online in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases journal suggests an association between periodontal disease and rheumatoid arthritis. The study found that periodontal disease is four times more common among those who have rheumatoid arthritis and appears to be more severe as well.
