Hurricane Sandy has come and gone, and the images will stay with us forever. Nearly everyone in the Northeast was touched by the storm; CNN reported more than 7.5 million power outages. Even now, there are shelters filled with those who cannot return to ravaged homes. Our hearts go out to all who were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

There are many displaced families at storm shelters who evacuated quickly without all of the necessities. We are providing supplies of toothbrushes and toothpaste to people in need. Kim White, senior account executive, personally dropped off toothbrushes to a shelter in Moonachie. Her donation was enthusiastically received. It was a little touch of home for the children who equated tooth brushing with their bedtime routines. We have donated toothbrushes to Atlantic, Camden, Hudson, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union County rescue groups as well.

One of our employees, Annette Baker, volunteered with the Community Emergency Response Team of Hopatcong and donated toothbrushes. Another employee, Justin Lahullier, Assistant Fire Chief for East Rutherford, was deployed with a task force from four Bergen County fire departments to provide fire protection service to the town of Silverton and help with their recovery efforts.
