Fischer named Entrepreneur of the Year finalist

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--Ernst & Young has announced that Dr. Dan Fischer, president and CEO of Ultradent Products, has been named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 program in the Utah region. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Winners will be presented at a special gala on June 20, 2013, at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Fischer graduated from Loma Linda University in 1974. Dr. Fischer maintained a full-time private practice for 15 years, working after hours on research and development. He still maintains a part-time practice with an emphasis on esthetic dentistry. He is involved in the development of many products at Ultradent, an international dental company, that are used widely in the dental profession. Many of the products have U.S. and foreign patents granted/pending. He serves as an adjunct professor at Loma Linda University and the University of Texas San Antonio. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the AACD in 2005. In October 2011, Dr. Fischer was inducted into the American College of Dentists, the oldest national honorary organization for dentists.
