A York, Pennsylvania dentist is currently under investigation for failing to follow proper infection control procedures in her office. Jacqueline Marcin, DMD has a suspended license following the onset of the investigation.

According toWGAL News 8in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of State claimed that Dr. Marcin failed to clean, disinfect, and sterilize certain dental equipment. Now, the Pennsylvania Department of Health recommends that certain patients – those who had a procedure done by Dr. Marcin herself – get tested for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV.

Aimee Tysarczyk from the Pennsylvania Department of Health told WGAL that Dr. Marcin’s investigation is a precautionary measure.
