Facebook can serve as a practice builder

If you’re a fan of Pride Institute’s Tuesday’s Tips, and you’re interested in growing your practice, the following 10 Tips for your Facebook page (yes, I know there are tons more) are key to your success.

  1. Post a provocative sentence — Write an article on your website’s blog and post an intriguing statement from your blog. Then include a link for patients to view the blog on your Facebook page.
  2. Photos — Post photos of the team, the office’s flowers, holiday decorations, team events, and other fun events. Ask patients to write a caption underneath some of the funny pictures.
  3. Patient of the week — Choose one patient or case each week, and with their permission post their picture holding a certificate or flowers.
  4. CE update — Describe any conferences or training, including OSHA and CPR, and Pride training.
  5. Ask a question/take a poll — Post a question that readers can respond to, such as their tips to get kids to brush, the ideal amount the Tooth Fairy should leave, their favorite movie portraying a dentist, a favorite dental joke, or which celebrity has your dream smile. Use the polldaddy app to design the polls.
  6. Video — Link to a video showing brushing technique, an office tour, or a patient testimonial.
  7. Holiday celebrations — Offer specials associated with a holiday, such as bleaching specials prior to Valentine's Day.
  8. Contests/Drawings — Announce in-office and online contests and describe the prizes.
  9. Team building — Describe any team events, including humanitarian efforts. Spotlight an individual team member each month.
  10. Team member achievements — Tell team members congratulations for winning an award, graduating, having a new baby, running a race, and other achievements.
