Hu-Friedy enters partnership with Electro Medical Systems to become exclusive distributor of EMS products in United States and Canada

Citing a desire to "reinvent the protocol for hygiene prophylaxis," Hu-Friedy entered into a partnership with Electro Medical Systems (EMS) to become the exclusive distributor of EMS products in the United States and Canada.

Hu-Friedy officials, during a press conference at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting, indicated a corporate support of "redefining prophylaxis protocol" by combining hand instruments, piezon power scaling, and air polishing.

The EMS products to be distributed by Hu-Friedy include:

• Piezon 250 scaler
• Piezon 150 scaler
• Air-Flow Master
• Air-Flow Master Piezon combination unit
• Air-Flow S2 combination unit
• Air-Flow S1 air polishing unit
• Air-Flow handy 3.0 air polishing unit
• Air-Flow air polishing powders and piezo tips

In addition, Hu-Friedy said the "suite" would include a Piezon Master 700 scaler introduced later this year.

"This alliance not only adds exceptional technology to our product portfolio, but allows Hu-Friedy to change the game of prophylaxis in the U.S. and Canada," said Ken Serota, president of Hu-Friedy.
