What are the major needs for small-diameter implants?

Small diameter implants are growing and have only been around for a few years. Dr. Christensen discusses three situations in which small diameter implants are most needed based on physiologic need – resorbed edentulous mandible, resorbed edentulous maxilla, and Kennedy Class IV.

Kennedy Class I, II and III can be done in many different ways, and small diameter implants are one of the choices.
