New mobile app uses secure technology to connect patients with their doctors

Solutionreach releases PatientReach Mobile, a new mobile application that streamlines patient outreach using secure technology.
Solutionreach, a developer of technology for managing patient relationships, announces the launch of a patient-facing mobile application that will help health care professionals stay connected with their patients outside of the practice environment.

The app, PatientReach Mobile, introduces the ease and convenience of mobile technology to the doctor-patient relationship. Patient outreach can be time-consuming, but with PatientReach Mobile, outreach can be streamlined without sacrificing the security necessary for patient communication.

"Both patients and doctors want simplicity when it comes to managing the many interactions involved in caring for the family,” says Jim Higgins, the founder and CEO of Solutionreach. “We are excited to facilitate that by offering the first patient-facing mobile app, delivered through the providers.”

The app allows for HIPAA-secure SMS messaging to be exchanged between provider and patient, complete with file or image sharing and push notifications. Patients can also manage their schedules, confirm and set reminders for upcoming visits, or request new appointments with their provider. The abilities to automate outstanding balance notifications and collect mobile payments add a significant financial benefit for healthcare providers that implement the application.
