3M Oral Care has introduced 3M Filtek One, a bulk-fill restorative material designed for one-step placement without compromising esthetics.
“Bulk fill composites have become popular in recent years because of their simplicity and speed; however, the ‘faster, easier’ [material] has often come at the expense of esthetics,” said Nikki McKeon, marketing manager for 3M Oral Care’s direct restorative business. “With the introduction of Filtek One bulk-fill restorative, 3M is giving dental professionals that simple one-step placement without compromising esthetics.”
Designed for the posterior, the optical properties and opacity of Filtek One bulk-fill restorative enable one-step bulk placement of up to 5 mm with improved esthetics. These improvements are the result of further developments of 3M’s nanotechnology, which allows for increased opacity without reducing depth of cure.
In its cured state, Filtek One bulk-fill restorative has a higher opacity than other bulk-fill offerings, even matching some universal composites. Available in five shades, there is no need for layering or dispensing devices.
