Finnish dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca has delivered three digital teaching environments to King Saud University College of Dentistry and the National Guard of Saudi Arabia Health Affairs as part of a local health-care development and investment to education.
This delivery agreement includes a turnkey solution with more than 1 000 dental units, simulation units, 2-D and 3-D X-ray systems combined with a software platform that incorporates the devices and partner solutions into a high-tech learning concept.
A similar solution with 127 dental units and an imaging and teaching system will also be delivered to the University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio.

In co-operation withlocal distributor, Care Ltd., Planmeca delivers digital university installations that include 990 Planmeca Compact i and Planmeca Sovereign dental units and 100 simulation units.
Also included is as an imaging system that consists of 19 Planmeca ProMax 3-D dental X-ray units, 345 Planmeca ProX digital intraoral imaging systems interconnected with Planmeca Romexis software. The installations are scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
