MELVILLE, New York--Air Techniques, an innovator and manufacturer of dental equipment, is the recipient of the 2012 International GOOD DESIGN Award in the medical category for the company's Mojave Dry Vacuum System.
GOOD DESIGN is a prestigious design awards program organized annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
The product awards cover new and consumer products designed and manufactured in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The trademarked awards were created in Chicago in 1950 by three architects: Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr.

The selection by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design places Air Techniques into a group of companies such as Apple, 3M, BMW, Johnson & Johnson, and many others who have produced products featuring innovative designs.
