Having a good online presence is very important in making sure that you are able to bring in more new patients and increase your revenue for your dental practice. One of the great new tools available to help boost the online presence of any company is Google+. Setting up your business on Google+ is easy to do, but if no one ever visits your account or gives your business any reviews, you might as well not even have the account in the first place. I discovered a simple trick that allowed me to double the Google+ reviews for my cosmetic general dental practice. The same trick can work for you as long as you are willing to give it a try. Here’s how I did it.

Find a local store everyone likes

It does not matter what kind of business you are in; there are going to be stores that your target market will enjoy frequenting alongside your business. Choose one of these businesses to help you get more reviews on Google+. The only thing to keep in mind when you are looking for such a store is to make sure that the business you choose is not a competitor. I chose a frozen yogurt store since I do not sell frozen yogurt, and I have no intention of ever selling frozen yogurt at any time. Plus, I knew that people actually like going to places like that, so it’s the perfect type of store for my situation.

Choose the vehicle for getting reviews

Now that you know what kind of store you are going to use for this trick, you will need to decide how to work with them. In my case, I decided to hand out coupons for the frozen yogurt store to all of my dental patients. They could take the coupon to the frozen yogurt place and enjoy a delicious treat. Along the way, they would have this great coupon they could look at. On the coupon, I asked each patient if they liked our dental office and if they were satisfied with their visit. If so, I asked them to please leave a review on Google+, and to enjoy this tasty treat as a token of my appreciation.

Why it works

This has been a very effective way for me to double my reviews on Google+, and I know that it will work for you as well, because it operates on the reciprocity law of persuasion. In this, you do not tell people that they are getting anything for leaving you a good review. You just ask them to leave the review and enjoy the yogurt. People feel inclined to leave the review after using the coupon because it was due to your generosity that they were able to get the discount. The best thing about this system is it does not cost you anything to get the reviews you need for your dental practice. It does not cost the yogurt business anything to allow you to hand out their coupons, because in the end they will make money as a result of an increase in clientele. It is a win-win that will help your business in ways you cannot imagine.
