IAOM elects president for 2014-2105

Shari Green, RDH, COM, was elected president of the International Association of Orofacial Myology.

Shari Green, RDH, COM, was elected president of the International Association of Orofacial Myology in a special election. Her term as President of the IAOM will continue until approximately late 2015.

Green, a native of Chicago, has been a member of the IAOM since the mid-1990s, and earned her IAOM certification in 1998. Once certifed, Green has been in private in Long Grove, Ill. She has researched and written several IJOM Journal articles on thumbsucking behavior and oral habit elimination, and is an instructor on oral habits for IAOM.

In addition, Green has served on the IAOM Board of Examiners, and formerly on the IAOM BOD as Orofacial Myology Representative for the 2011-13 term. She has been a registered dental Hygienist (currently retired) since 1979, and graduated from Parkland College School of Dental Hygiene. Her clients fondly call her, "The Thumblady," as her personal passion is helping children and adults with thumbsucking issues conquer their long standing oral habits.
