Aug. 21, 2014
Greater earning power, career advancement, and job mobility are just a few of the benefits of earning DANB certification.

For dental assistants who are looking to distinguish themselves in the field, gain additional earning power, advance on the dental assisting career ladder, and improve their career mobility, earning certification through the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) is a smart move.

DANB offers four national certifications:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA®)
Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA®)
Certified Preventive Functions Dental Assistant (CPFDA®)
Certified Restorative Functions Dental Assistant (CRFDA®)

DANB has been testing and certifying dental assistants for more than 65 years, and is recognized by the American Dental Association as the national certification board for dental assistants. Currently, there are more than 35,000 DANB certificants nationwide, and DANB certifications and certificates of knowledge-based competency are recognized or required in 38 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Air Force, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
