American Eagle Instruments names clinical educators

American Eagle Instruments announces the launch of its Dental Hygiene Clinical Educator team, naming four dental hygienists to the team.

American Eagle Instruments (AEI) of Missoula, Montana, announced the launch of its dental hygiene clinical educator team. AEI is partnering with dental hygiene educators throughout the country to offer in-office lunch and learns, webinars, and lecture/hands-on seminars for associations and study clubs. AEI is an approved continuing education provider of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.

Clinical Educator Team

  • Karen Siebert, RDH, MA, is leading the team. Karen is adjunct faculty instructor at The College of Lake County just outside of Chicago. She has led numerous hands-on workshops featuring AEI's sharpen-free XP Technology instruments over the past two years. Karen led a nationwide webinar CE, which was hosted by PennWell, featuring the dangers of re-tipping dental hand instruments and has presented at RDH Under One Roof. Karen is a member of ADEA and ADHA. She is the Membership Chair for the Illinois DHA and Trustee for the Lake County DH Component. She is also the Screening Committee Chairwoman for the Northern Illinois Oral Cancer Foundation.
  • Lory Laughter, RDH, BS, has been a practicing clinical hygienist for 21 years in Northern California. She is a columnist for RDH Magazine and has delivered presentations on American Eagle Instruments’ behalf to several hygiene schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lory has extensively researched the efficacy/non-efficacy of re-sharpening hand instruments and is founder and president of her own CE company, Dental IQ. She is a member of ADEA, ADHA, and is a trustee for the California DHA.
  • Therese Stewart, RDH, MS, is based in South Florida. She has her master's degree in organizational management and leadership. Currently, Therese is adjunct faculty at Palm Beach State College where she has been on staff since 1996. Therese is a professional educator with Waterpik and owns her own practice-consulting firm, Perfect Blend Consulting. She is a member of ADEA, ADHA, and is the Atlantic Coast Trustee for the Florida DHA. She is also a past president of the Broward County DHA where she served two terms and is a member of FADE, the Florida Association of Dental Educators.
  • Stacy Deemer, RDH, is based in western Pennsylvania. She is the recipient of the Sunstar/Butler Award of Distinction in 2013. Stacy is the voice of the dental health professional on the Wellsville television show, which is a local TV show promoting children’s health and wellness. She is a professional educator for Sunstar, and is vice president for the Northwestern Pennsylvania DHA.
