Whip Mix has introduced MaxAlign, an Android app that digitally captures patient data. In three steps, the dentist can capture a photograph of the patient’s teeth, document the width of the centrals, and capture the first point of contact. This information can then be emailed to the lab as an easy reference for mounting models. The lab, using MaxAlign with a LabStand, can use photographic overlays to mount the models as they are on the patient. This sharing of critical data is designed to reduce rework on anterior cases and aid in providing predictable results the first time. The MaxAlign app is sold through the Google Play Store, and both the tablet and LabStand can be purchased from Whip Mix.
