Delta Dental of New Mexico CEO Walt Bolic announces retirement

After more than 15 years with the company, Walter Bolic announces his retirement effective late June 2016.
Walter S. Bolic, president and chief executive officer of Delta Dental of New Mexico (DDNM), has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2016. During Bolic’s fifteen-year tenure, DDNM has seen significant increases in growth and profitability. “It has been an honor and privilege to lead New Mexico's top dental benefits company,” Bolic said. “After more than 15 years with the company, it is time to transition to new leadership. I look forward to working with the board and the management team over the next year to ensure a smooth transition.” Under Bolic’s leadership, DDNM has also become known for its support of local and state programs dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults in the state. The company proudly provides generous financial support to a variety of organizations and programs, including Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless and Special Olympics New Mexico.

Stephen Chreist, chair of DDNM’s board of directors, commented, “Walt has been a very strong leader and has played a key role in transforming DDNM into the leading dental benefits company in New Mexico. The members of the Board are grateful to Walt for his many contributions and the strong foundation he laid for future success.”

The Board has formed a search committee to identify a successor president and chief executive officer.
