QUARTZ SPLINT family of reinforcement fibers released in U.S.
QUARTZ SPLINT is offered in four varieties, some of which are interchangeable within clinical indications on a case-by-case basis.
RTD, a company that produces fiber-reinforced endodontic posts, has released a line of reinforcement fibers called QUARTZ SPLINT to the U.S.
The fibers offer multiple applications in restorative, pediatric, orthodontic, prosthodontic, periodontic, and endodontic practice. QUARTZ SPLINT is offered in four varieties, some of which are interchangeable within clinical indications on a case-by-case basis.
QUARTZ SPLINT has been independently proven to offer flexural strength that is superior to polyethylene or glass fiber products, and high bond strength to tooth structure. All four styles of the preimpregnated fibers are presented in special, light-proof packaging that protects the product from ambient light, and permits safe storage of unused material for subsequent treatments.
There are Introductory kits available, which include one or two varieties of fibers, along with resins for optional re-wetting the fibers, and a shaded “flowable” for covering the fibers. There are also refill packages available.
RTD USA offers this limited product line to dentists, clinics, and dental schools.
