"Hats off to Ms. Miles!"
I enjoyed reading the January/February edition. I am an orthodontist and have been in partnership with another female orthodontist for the past six years.
I enjoyed reading the January/February edition. I am an orthodontist and have been in partnership with another female orthodontist for the past six years. The reason I bring this up is because of the column "Women Working with Women."
We have a staff of seven including the two of us — six females and one male. We have a very good group and have extinguished many of the concerns some offices have with too much estrogen.Ms. Miles did a good job discussing "From sabotage to support." I even shared it with my staff.
We did not know why we have so much success working together, but after reading that article, it makes us feel good to know that we have followed her advice without even knowing it! Don't get me wrong, we do have some issues that need to be settled, but we try our best not to concentrate on gender differences. We get a lot of compliments from other offices and orthodontists for the fact that my partner and I have remained in practice this long (being two women), and we are the best of friends regardless of our gender.
So I just want to say hats off to Ms. Miles for that informative piece.
