Treating HIV/AIDS population: What you need to know

For the past three years, I have been employed at a federally qualified health center where we treat a large population of HIV/AIDS patients. Prior to employment at the FQHC, I had little education on how to treat patients that are immune compromised. I hope this information will be useful to any hygienist who is thinking of working in a public health setting, those who are currently working in a health setting, or fellow hygienists in the private sector who may have little experience with treating these patients.
