BREA, California--VITA has introduced the VITA Bleachedguide 3D-Master, a new shade guide designed primarily for planning and monitoring a patient's tooth whitening regimen.

The VITA Bleachedguide 3D-Master also offers new intermediate 3D-Master shade tabs arranged specifically for measuring bleaching progress.

The shade guide was developed jointly with Vita Zahnfabrik and Rade D. Paravina, DDS, MS, PhD, of the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.

"The VITA Bleachedguide exhibits the widest color range and has the most consistent color distribution as compared to Vitapan Classical and Trubyte Bioform. Inclusion of realistic bleaching shades complement contemporary esthetic dentistry," said Paravina.

"With the introduction of the Bleachedguide, the VITA 3D-Master shade system has come full circle," said Dr. Martin Mendelson, DDS, director of professional development at Vident. "Now dentists can benefit from this precise tool to market their bleaching capabilities as well as benefit from the exacting nature of shade reproduction offered with the 3D-Master system. The 3D Bleachedguide offers a definitive, measurable cross-section of the VITA 3D-Master shade system, making it a perfect addition to any dentist who provides tooth whitening. These aspects support our belief that the new VITA Bleachedguide 3D-Master will quickly become the new gold standard for evaluating bleach results."

The VITA 3D-Master shade system offers a full complement of restorative materials, including the popular VITA VM line of all-ceramic and porcelain-fused-to-metal veneering materials, Physiodens and Vitapan denture teeth, 3D-Direct composite and VM LC indirect composite.
