Ansell Healthcare Products Inc. awarded glove contract from HealthTrust Purchasing Group
Ansell Healthcare Products Inc., a global leader in healthcare barrier protective products, has been awarded two three-year glove contracts by HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG), a healthcare group purchasing organization based in Nashville, Tenn.
Under the terms of the multi-source agreements, Ansell will supply its full line of latex and latex-free surgical and examination gloves to the HPG membership of more than 600 acute care facilities. This is the first contract HPG has awarded to Ansell for the purchase of examination gloves, and is a renewal of an existing agreement to purchase surgical gloves.
Among many benefits, Ansell offers HPG the ability to purchase a full range of medical gloves from one manufacturer. The agreement, which commenced April 1, 2004, allows HPG members to purchase Ansell gloves at significant savings. They are also entitled to utilize Ansell's educational programs.
