Bars, bridges available in Grade 4 PURE titanium

YORK, Pennsylvania--Effective May 2010, Compartis ISUS CAD/CAM designed and high-precision milled suprastructures from DENTSPLY Prosthetics are scheduled to be available in Grade 4 PURE titanium, in addition to cobalt chrome alloy. Bars made with titanium alloys, such as Grades 5 and 6, do not maintain the same homogeneous strength as structures produced with Grade 4 PURE Ti. Previously, Compartis ISUS has provided PURE Grade 2 titanium. The upgrade to Grade 4 Ti helps ensure that strong suprastructures are available, and are biocompatibile with a high surface luster for added esthetics. Titanium structures also offer a lightweight design for patient comfort.Compartis ISUS suprastructures are available in traditional bars or fixed hybrid bars and bridges, and fit more than 200 implant systems. ISUS structures are custom-designed to the individual patient’s needs, and precision-milled from a solid block of Ti or CoCr. ISUS Bars and Bridges are screw-retained directly on the implants and accommodate most implant systems, including different systems used within the same arch.
