Groups to offer pediatric sedation, anesthesia review courses

American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry join forces to offer comprehensive dental offerings.

CHICAGO--The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, in conjunction with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, will offer dentists two comprehensive pediatric sedation and anesthesia review courses May 1-3 and May 4-6 at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, N.M.

Faculty for the courses include Stephen Wilson, DMD, MA, PhD; Alan Milnes, DDS, PhD; David Rothman, DDS; Martin Boorin, DMD, MD; Charles Cote, MD; William Denman, MD; Mary George, DDS; Ralph Epstein, DDS; Lewis Estabrooks, DMD, MD; Lawrence Herman, DMD, MD; William Hurford, MD; Christine Quinn, DDS; Yvonne Rochon, DDS; Barbara Sheller, DDS, and John Yagiela, DDS, PhD.

"We are fortunate to have AAPD and ADSA collaborating to offer these programs in beautiful Santa Fe. This is an outstanding educational opportunity for dentists who administer pediatric sedation and anesthesia," said ADSA President James C. Phero, DMD.

AAPD will offer Contemporary Sedation of Children for the Dental Practice: Enteral and Parental Techniques May 1-3, and ADSA will offer Contemporary Assessment and Management of the Pediatric Patient May 4-6.

In addition to the educational offerings, several optional tours are available the afternoon of May 5 and 6. Attendees may explore Santa Fe, go fly fishing, take a chile cooking class or visit Bandelier National Monument.
