KOMET USA introduces implant milling base

Oct. 10, 2009
Stainless-steel base designed for use in different types of laboratory implant adjustments.

ROCK HILL, South Carolina--KOMET USA has unveiled a new stainless-steel milling base designed for use in different types of laboratory implant adjustments.

KOMET's milling base is suitable for:

* Cylindrical and slightly conical implants, replicas and tapered retention posts

* Implants

* Replicas of systems with diameters ranging from 1 to 6.5 mm

* Metal retention pins for work on tapered crowns

The upper part of the milling base can be removed and replaced in its original position with a screw on/off locking bolt because of its internal height adjuster. This allows the user to alternate between manual labor and using the milling device.

The clamping nut is ergonomically shaped, allowing strain-free manual adjustments and avoiding injuries caused by hot instruments. The milling base can also be placed on any magnetic or model table and comes complete with clamping jaws.
