YORK, Pennsylvania--Miltex has announced expansion of its universal Xcision Extracting Forceps product line.

Xcision extracting forceps are made from German stainless steel and feature tapered beaks designed for subgingival access to the tooth.

The 150, 150S, 151, and 151S Xcision extracting forceps feature a lightweight ergonomic handle. The smooth handle with circular openings helps reduce the weight of the instrument and makes it easier to clean.

The Xcision forceps have a wear-resistant disc that helps eliminate wear in the joint of the instruments. The forceps also feature a slim, compact design for easy access to molars.

Miltex Xcision extracting forceps have been designed to allow subginigval access to the root while removing a tooth. The beaks are tapered, which allows them to penetrate deeper into the tooth socket and to maximize the tooth-to-forceps contact.

The beaks are also serrated, allowing for a solid grip on the tooth surface. This grip aids atraumatic removal of the tooth, and reduces the risk of fracturing the root structure or causing trauma to the surrounding hard and soft tissues.
