Sirona, a global manufacturer of dental equipment, has unveiled CEREC AC--a digital impression unit for CAD/CAM dentistry.
CEREC AC is built on Sirona's proprietary CEREC Bluecam technology and its automatic-image capture system operates quickly and efficiently so entire quadrants can be scanned in 40 seconds. CEREC AC will replace the current acquisition unit with immediate effect.
CEREC AC captures detail, features easy-to-use intuitive software, and provides a uniform field of illumination for precision. Once the CEREC AC has acquired the image, a dentist can chose to create the restoration chairside with a CEREC milling unit or send a digital model to the laboratory for offsite production.
