biolitec Inc., in partnership with the American Red Cross, is responding to the recent tragic acts of terrorism by providing assistance to victims, rescue workers, and their families. A relief fund with the Red Cross has been established, appealing in particular to the medical community. However, the public is encouraged to participate, and any contributions will be greatly appreciated.

Manufacturer of the 980nm diode laser, biolitec has also donated several lasers to New York City and Washington D.C. area hospitals to aid in victims recovery.

In addition, the companys top executives encouraged all employees to volunteer and make contributions. To further support participation in this national crisis, Kelly Moran, biolitecs Chief Operating Officer, offered paid-time to any employee interested in providing aid for victims or volunteering in NYC or Washington D.C.

Moran also stressed the need for blood donations. Because the Red Cross supplies were already below optimal amounts before the attacks, assistance is especially crucial now.

The effects of this nationwide emergency are far-reaching; every American feels the gravity of this attack on America. biolitec strongly urges the entire country to back this cause and support those in need.

If you would like to contribute to the fund, please make checks payable to The American Red Cross in care of biolitec, Inc.; 515 Shaker Road, East Longmeadow, MA 01028. For more information about the fund, please contact biolitec at 800-934-2377 or send an email to [email protected].

To make an appointment to give blood (though walk-ins are welcome as well), please contact the American Red Cross at 1 800-GIVE-LIFE (800-448-3543). For those who wish to support the victims of national disasters in general via the Red Cross, contributions can be made to: American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund; P.O. Box 37243; Washington, DC 20013. Also, you can visit their website at www.redcross.org.

As Americans prepare both emotionally and physically for the consequences of the attacks, it is important to remember that solidarity and offering support for those suffering are essential. biolitecs condolences go out to the victims and their families and hope their efforts will help in the cities healing process.
