LINDON, Utah--Smile Reminder has announced availability of new patient recare functionality, enabling practices to reactivate lost patients and retain existing patients by automatically sending out recare emails and/or text messages prior to a patient's continuing care date.
As with all upgrades, this new feature will be available free of charge for any practice that currently subscribes to the patient messaging service of Smile Reminder, a pioneer in mobile practice-to-patient communications.
This new feature includes the following functionality:
*Full Automation. Reminder messages are sent automatically to notify patients that a recare appointment is due or overdue.
*Configurable Message Settings. Recare message delivery is based on the practice's chosen settings.
*Customized Message Templates. Practices can write their own message, insert their own image, or choose from a variety of professionally designed templates.
*Instant Appointment Request Notification. The practice is notified instantly by email when a patient requests an appointment.
The benefits of this new feature are the ability to do the following:
*Retain Existing Patients. Smile Reminder automatically notifies patients when they are due for their next continuing care appointment even if they are not preappointed.
*Reactivate Lost Patients. Smile Reminder finds patients in the practice software that have not had an appointment in the last six months, and can continue to send recare messages beyond the continuing care date until the patient schedules an appointment.
*Track Recare Results. Smile Reminder automatically graphs current and future revenue generated by recare messages.
Coupled with Smile Reminder's comprehensive messaging service, the availability of the automatic recare functionality will further enable practices to make sure their patients are getting timely dental care.
"The recare system has been wonderful!" said Catherine Glidewell, Scheduling Coordinator for Water Tower Dental Care in Chicago. "After only a few days we had responses from over twenty people that we scheduled immediately, some that we have been trying to contact for months. The Recare system sends more recall notices in a day than I can call in a week. I highly recommend it to everyone who places contacting your patients at the top of your list."
