SUNI Medical Imaging certifies MacSensor Solution with SuniRay intraoral sensor

Feb. 25, 2009
MacSensor Solution with SuniRay requires MacPractice DR with the SuniRay Interface to capture, view, and manipulate images on computers running MacPractice DDS.

LINCOLN, Nebraska--MacPractice, which developed MacPractice DDS, has announced that it has received certification from Suni Medical Imaging for the MacSensor Solution with SuniRay.

The product is the top-of-the-line intraoral CMOS sensor for Suni, a manufacturer of intraoral sensors for use in dentistry.

The SuniRay sensor utilizes CMOS technology with diagnostic capabilities. SuniRay's ergonomic design and rounded corners help to ensure positioning and patient comfort. The design of its reinforced cable attachment and hardened outer casing helps to make SuniRay durable.

Dentists can install Suni's plug and play sensors and move them from treatment room to treatment room. Since one size does not fit all patients, a smaller size No. 1 is available for children and adults with special anatomical considerations.

This manufacturer-direct MacSensor Solution is available via MacPractice. The SuniRay sensor features a manufacturer's warrantee from Suni.

A SuniRay sensor kit includes two sensors (size No. 1 or No. 2) for $13,495 for Mac users. Through March 2, 2009, MacPractice and Suni will offer a $1,000 discount on a SuniRay sensor kit.

The MacSensor Solution with SuniRay requires MacPractice DR with the SuniRay Interface to capture, view, and manipulate images on computers running MacPractice DDS.

"We are grateful to 50 of our 900 MacPractice dental offices who collaborated with Suni and MacPractice through the precertification period," said Mark Hollis, MacPractice president. "Suni, MacPractice, and our dental clients are pleased with quality and functionality of the MacSensor Solution with SuniRay intraoral sensors. This is truly the no-compromise solution for which dentists who prefer to use a Mac have been looking."

Dentists are encouraged to register at MacPractice.com to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice DDS and MacPractice DR and newly introduced MacPractice Chart.

MacPractice will demonstrate the MacSensor Solution and MacPractice Chart in Booth No. 248 Feb. 27-March 1, 2009, at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting.
