I'm baaaack...!

Feb. 13, 2020
In her first DentistryIQ editor's note, Pamela Maragliano-Muniz, DMD, (re)introduces herself and previews her plans as new chief editor of DentistryIQ.

Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to be back working with the dental group of  Endeavor Business Media as your chief editor of DentistryIQ! For those of you who don’t know me, I previously served on the DentistryIQ team as the editorial director for the Product Navigator newsletter. I am a former dental hygienist and am now a board-certified prosthodontist. My private practice is in Salem, Massachusetts. When I'm not in the office, I’m usually writing or traveling for a lecture. When I have time off, I enjoy practicing yoga or spending time with my husband and my pets. I have a cavalier king charles spaniel named Senorita Diente and a silver chinchilla persian cat named Sahar. I take way too many photos of them and can’t help flooding my Instagram with their daily activities!

Professionally, I love and value all aspects of dentistry and all the people who contribute to the greatness of a practice. Moreover, I believe that it is essential for all dental professionals to keep current on the latest industry trends, clinical techniques, emerging technologies, and product development. Personally, I prefer education that heightens my awareness of industry news, promotes best practices in my office and inspires me to enhance my clinical skillset, practice efficiency, or personal wellbeing. I am committed to education, and it will be evident as DentistryIQ will continue to offer a variety of up-to-date, interesting, informative, and outstanding articles and videos for all dental professionals.

If you enjoy receiving your favorite articles sent to you, I encourage you to subscribe to one or more of the DentistryIQ newsletters, many of which are produced in partnership with Dental Economics and RDH. (Subscribe at this link.) I personally will be directing the Product Navigator, a twice-monthly newsletter that features product reviews, product news, and technique articles. It will also have case reports about product advantages, handling techniques, and clinical outcomes.

Next week, I’ll be attending the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, and I'll be on the lookout for new information to share with you. Follow the DentistryIQ Facebook page for real-time updates at the conference and for featured articles!

Have a great day,

Pam
