Study: Endodontic lesions increase the risk of heart disease

The oral-systemic connection has long been a hot topic in dentistry, and this new study further confirms the link.
“Association of endodontic lesions with coronary artery disease,” a study published in the Journal of Dental Research, found that the lesions increase the risk of heart disease. The dental industry has long been aware of the association of inflammation caused by dental disease with other ailments.
