Sundance will now offer Continuing Education courses on NuCalm, an all-natural, drug-free technology that naturally alleviates anxiety and stress,.
The partnership makes Sundance the exclusive lab provider for NuCalm-based CE programs to dental professionals in Arizona and New Mexico. Courses will be hosted by Sundance as part of its ongoing curriculum and will be conducted by members of Solace’s dental advisory board.
“Continuing education is a key driver for us to boost awareness for NuCalm as we pioneer applied neuropsychobiology in the dental industry,” commented Solace President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Poole.
“It’s paramount for us to find the best lab partners to become exclusive local centers of excellence for NuCalm nationwide. Our partners are an extension of our brand and customer experience. Therefore, we spend a lot of time vetting high-end esthetic dental labs to find those who truly understand the importance of providing leading-edge CE programs for their valued customers. Sundance Dental Laboratory is an excellent example of the type of partner we look for that offers tangible and intangible ways to provide value to their dentists, and can extend the NuCalm brand to the dental profession in the southwest.”
Sundance is a member of the Technical Research Consortium, a group of independently owned regional dental laboratories across North America that strive to bring leading-edge technology to its member dentists and provide a high level of dentistry to their patients.
Steve Dearien, CDT, and owner of Sundance Dental Laboratory, sees the partnership as an ideal fit for both companies.
“Sundance is committed to providing the finest quality prosthetics, technical innovation, and continuing education programs for our valued customers,” he said.
“Clinicians from all over the Southwest rely on us to discover the newest technologies to enhance their practices and increase their patient offerings. We hosted three successful NuCalm CE programs in Q4 2010 and were impressed by the excitement and buzz NuCalm is creating throughout the dental profession. NuCalm is going to be very popular with our customers and we look forward to introducing this exciting technology to dental professionals throughout Arizona and New Mexico.”
NuCalm has already proven popular at CE events nationwide, according to Poole: “Attendance at NuCalm-based CE programs has exceeded our expectations thus far, and we feel very strongly that the addition of the highly regarded Sundance Dental Laboratory as a CE partner will help continue this trend.”
According to the American Dental Association, fear and anxiety keep more than 60 million Americans a year from seeing a dentist, which has a significant negative impact on the overall health of the American population. NuCalm is a drug-free technology that is becoming a safe and less intrusive solution for alleviating patient fear and anxiety.
NuCalm leverages the synergistic benefits of four sensory applications:
• Proprietary chewable tablets containing natural anxiolytic neurotransmitters that help put the brakes on adrenaline and the “fight-or-flight” response
• Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation--An FDA-cleared device for treating anxiety, insomnia, and depression (research indicates a mild current catalyzes the effectiveness of the NuCalm neurotransmitters)
• Proprietary neuroacoustic software---a low-frequency binaural beat paces the brain to the first stage of sleep
• Black-out glasses remove visual stimulation and maintain relaxation
NuCalm causes no side effects and requires no recuperative time or post-procedure supervision. Thus, patients can drive, return to work, play sports, or partake in any other type of activity with no restrictions immediately after having the procedure.
More than 21,700 dental patients have used the patent-pending NuCalm technology across the U.S. with 95% of patients stating they would use NuCalm again and 98% stating they would recommend NuCalm to their friends and family.
