Ameritas has made a $5,000 contribution to the UNMC College of Dentistry’s student-run dental SHARING Clinic. The clinic opened in 2008 and provides dental care to low-income adults in the community. The volunteer clinic makes it possible for those who are underprivileged, underserved, and underinsured to receive needed dental care. It also gives the student volunteers a learning opportunity.

Ameritas Group also has made a $250,000 gift commitment to the University of Nebraska Foundation to establish a permanent endowment that will provide annual support for research focused on preventing, detecting, and treating oral cancer.

“The partnership between Ameritas Group and the UNMC College of Dentistry is significant, and reflects our common goal of providing the best possible dental care services to community members in need,” said Ken VanCleave, president of Ameritas Group.
