From Art Garfunkel and Carol Channing to world-renowned speakers, the 29th YDC will show you its true colors

Showing Our True Colors is the theme of the 29th Yankee Dental Congress (YDC), the region's largest dental meeting, which will be held January 29 through February 1, 2004, at Boston's Hynes Convention Center.

More than 27,000 dental health professionals are expected to attend the event, sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society, in cooperation with the Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont dental associations. YDC 29 offers over 900 exhibits and 600 courses for the dental professional.

Folk music legend and half of the Grammy-Award winning duo Simon and Garfunkel, Art Garfunkel, will headline Saturday evening's entertainment portion of the conference. Former Senate majority leader and international advisor George Mitchell will be the Opening Ceremony speaker. Have lunch with Broadway legend and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Carol Channing. In addition, best-selling author Sue Monk Kidd, whose novel The Secret Lives of Bees is on The New York Times bestseller list, will make a guest appearance.

This two-day program will educate dentists doing endodontic treatment on the latest techniques in hands-on cleaning and shaping of canals and warm gutta-percha condensation and use of the microscope. In the Endodontic Emersion course, diagnosis, etiology, fractured teeth, and treatment planning will be covered by renowned endodontists, Dr. John West, Dr. Jeffrey Hutter, Dr. Roger Lacoste, and Dr. Joseph Williams.
