ROCK HILL, South Carolina--KOMET USA has introduced the DentinPost X, a radio-opaque root post made from glass-fiber reinforced composite complementing KOMET's existing range of ER DentinPosts.
The DentinPost X offers an alternative to ER titanium head posts for direct plastic reconstruction offering the advantage of an esthetically-pleasing restoration. These tooth-colored root posts are primarily made of special unidirectional axial glass fibers ensuring a higher strength, and their elasticity modulus is similar to that of dentin.
The dentin-like elasticity of the DentinPost X, in combination with the adhesive application, allows for the stress-free distribution of force into the tooth root. The post's fiber-reinforced composite matrix ensures strong retention of the composite core build-up.
Due to its pronounced retention head, the DentinPost X permits a strong reconstruction even in cases of severely destroyed teeth.
DentinPost X is available in lengths of L9 and L12, and just like ER DentinPosts, the new posts can be ordered individually or in complete sets of matching instruments.
