Second International Congress on 3-D imaging educates dental community

Dental specialists, cone beam experts, and third-party software companies learned about the latest advancements in 3-D dental technology, treatment planning, and patient care.

HATFIELD, Pennsylvania--The Second International Congress on 3-D Dental Imaging was held July 25-27 in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

This was the second annual event of its kind and brought together many of the industry's top dental professionals, cone beam 3-D experts, and third party software planning companies.

The event was held to inform and educate dental professionals on the continued advancements in the 3-D dental imaging industry. Host of the congress was Imaging Sciences International, the manufacturer of i-CAT. More than 130 people attended the event.

Industry experts presented the latest 3-D imaging advancements and techniques. They discussed the importance of capturing a patient's true anatomy to see and plan for surgery in advance, as well as the dentist's responsibility to the patient while examining 3-D scans.
