MEDFORD, Massachusetts--Natural Dentist, Inc., the Massachusetts-based company that makes all-natural oral care products, has announced the appointment of Mark Koide as Chief Executive Officer.

Koide succeeds Nancy Rosenzweig, who led the privately held company for three years.

Koide joins The Natural Dentist with more than 15 years of experience in consumer packaged goods and a background in natural foods and beverages. He most recently was Global President of the Seeds of Change division of Mars, Inc.

Previously, he was an executive with Groupe Danone and Pepperidge Farm/Campbell Soup Company. Koide was a co-founder of Walnut Acres, an organic food startup company that was sold to The Hain Celestial Group in 2003.

"The Natural Dentist is at a pivotal stage of development," said Koide. "I am excited to be joining the Company at this stage, as the natural category continues to move from a trend to a deliberate lifestyle for a surging number of consumers. Interest in health and wellness, and awareness of product ingredients are at an all-time high. There is a clear need for a natural, clinically proven alternative to conventional oral care products. Consumers and retailers are clamoring for brands like ours."

"We believe Mark's expertise and proven success in creating and building brands will propel The Natural Dentist to its next stage of growth, capitalizing on the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead for natural oral care," said Dr. Roger Wyse, chairman of The Natural Dentist board of directors. "We are fortunate to have him on board."
