Jan. 8, 2008
Symposium to be held Nov. 5-8 at Loews Miami Beach Hotel will focus on a systematic approach to predictable esthetics when utilizing implants alone and in combination with natural teeth.

The Pankey Institute has organized a November symposium that will feature some of the world's best dental educators.

At A Gathering of Eagles: Porcelain and Titanium, a Synthesis for Beauty will have in-depth sessions focusing on a systematic approach to predictable esthetics when utilizing implants alone and in combination with natural teeth.

These sessions will be presented by Gerard J. Chiche, DDS (Head of Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University and Director of the Academy of Esthetic Dentistry); Avishai Sadan, DMD (Editor-in-Chief of Quintessence International and Chair of the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry, Case Western Reserve University); Pascal Magne, PhD, DMD (Senior Lecturer, Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion at University of Geneva, Switzerland, and Chair of Esthetic Dentistry of University of Southern California); Michel Magne, CDT (Director of Dental Technology of University of Southern California); and Urs C. Belser, DMD (Head of Department of Prosthodontics and Occlusion, University of Geneva, Switzerland).

Additional short programs will focus on the subtle factors that affect esthetic longevity, dentistry in a virtual world, combining esthetic priorities with functional integrity, optimal use of photographic images for diagnosis, treatment planning, and communication, managing mechanical forces for implant and prosthetic longevity, coordinating an interactive, interdisciplinary team, and phased comprehensive treatment.

This first-of-its-kind symposium is being produced by PennWell. Several sponsors have come together to make this exceptional gathering affordable for dentists from around the world. As many as 500 clinicians are expected.

Doctors who register prior to July 31 can attend all sessions, two luncheons, and the welcome reception for $1,100. Study groups of five or more registering at one time will enjoy additional savings.
