CareCredit policy incorporates techniques from leading practice management consultants.

COSTA MESA, California--CareCredit, a North America patient payment program, is making available to enrolled practices a fee customized financial policy that incorporates techniques from leading practice management consultants.

In today's challenging economy, an effective financial policy is key to success and can benefit a practice and its patients. With a policy, practices can more clearly communicate the patient's financial responsibilities and payment options. This helps more patients get the dentistry they want and need by eliminating "fear of cost," confusion, and miscommunication.

CareCredit tapped into a network of practice management consultants and compiled techniques to develop the financial policy--a free service for practices that offer the program.

Dentists and their teams can go online to financial policy to answer a short questionnaire about their insurance and payment option preferences. On this site, they can download and print two documents customized to their practice: the Written Financial Policy and the Patient Payment Agreement.

"One of the most critical dialogues that happens between patients and the dental team revolves around fees, financial responsibilities and payment options," said David Fasoli, president. "Consultants agree that when a practice has a written Financial Policy, this discussion is easier. And now, dental teams can create a Financial Policy based on proven techniques using our online tool."
