3M ESPE donates $45,000 to support Oral Health America's Smiles Across America.

CHICAGO--Oral Health America has announce a $45,000 donation from 3M ESPE in support of Smiles Across America.

This financial contribution follows product donations from 3M ESPE Dental Products of more than 53,000 applications of Clinpro Brand Dental Sealant during the 2007-08 school year, and 30,000 applications of Vanish 5% Sodium Fluoride White Varnish.

"3M ESPE strongly supports Oral Health America's Smiles Across America program, which is helping communities build infrastructure for school oral health services," said Steve Bonfig, global communications manager, 3M ESPE. "We have had a longstanding partnership with Oral Health America, and are committed to helping them help care providers who are preventing oral disease and educating children about oral health's importance to overall health."

Smiles Across America provides technical assistance and resources to improve the oral health and well-being of children and families who do not have routine dental care. The program supports services to more than 90,000 children annually and helps communities respond to the critical need for oral disease prevention and oral health promotion.

"Oral Health America is thrilled to serve as a partner with 3M ESPE in advancing the nation's oral health, particularly through preventive care and education," said Sue Dodd, director of programs, Oral Health America. "We are very grateful for their significant contributions to our organization."
