Indications point to a record turnout for IDS 2009

CHICAGO, Illinois and COLOGNE, Germany--The latest dental technology from around the world and spectacular sights in Germany's "Cathedral City" can be seen March 24-28, 2009, at the 33rd International Dental Show in Cologne.

The world's largest dental trade show, IDS will feature more than 1,750 exhibitors from some 55 countries worldwide. They will present the latest trends and innovations in the international dental market. More than 100,000 attendees are expected to visit the show during those five days.

The biannual event offers opportunities for dentists, team members, and dental laboratory technicians and dealers to shop, learn and network through the exhibition and supporting programs organized by the Association of German Dental Technicians Guilds and the German Dental Association.

North American dentists are provided with a preview of what to expect in dental technology and products enabling them to plan for future implantation into the practices and lab inventory. The Chicago-based office of the organizer Koelnmesse provides travel packages for North American dentists, lab owners, and dealers that include e-transportation, hotel, and trade show visit.

At the heart of central Europe, the city of Cologne is located on the Rhine River and traces its roots back more than 2,000 years. Cologne has some 320 churches. Construction on its most famous cathedral began in 1248 and was completed in 1880.
