CHICAGO, Illinois--Glocal Concepts has announced it will be managing the inaugural USA Pavilion at the DenTech China 2009 meeting Oct. 28-31 in Shanghai.
The purpose of the USA Pavilion is to provide participating companies a cost-effective way to learn about the Chinese dental market at China's largest dental meeting. The meeting should feature more than 500 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 professional visitors.
Glocal Concepts is cooperating in this endeavor with the organizers of DenTech China.
The DenTech China USA Pavilion will differ from pavilions seen at other international dental shows since participants will not simply exhibit their products. Rather participating companies will also receive the benefit of a complete four-day learning experience through access to Chinese distributors, manufacturers and regulatory organizations, as well as a comprehensive seminar on doing business in China.
"Our participating companies need only bring their products, and we'll take care of everything else," said Doris de Beer, Glocal Concepts managing director.
For a modest price, participants will get a personalized space in a professionally constructed booth, as well as exclusive access to a private meeting area, coffee bar, translators, and hostesses.
"This concept is geared towards two kinds of companies: those who aren't selling in China and who want an affordable way to investigate the market and see how its products might be received by Chinese dental professionals, as well as companies whose products are already approved for sale in China and who are looking for a cost-effective way to showcase them and establish their brand," said de Beer.
He points out that a German Pavilion has been growing its presence at the DenTech China meeting for several years, with more than 35 companies participating.
"Given that the United States is the world's largest manufacturer of dental products, we see no reason why the USA Pavilion cannot enjoy similar success," said de Beer. "More and more American companies are realizing that they can no longer ignore the world's third-largest economy, and we are pleased to now offer them a cost-effective way of performing their due diligence."
