ADA To Introduce New Exhibit Concept at 145th Annual Session In Orlando

Consumer friendly "ADA Marketplace" will provide an environment that encourages attendees to spend more time in the exhibit hall.

Dental professionals attending the American Dental Association's (ADA) 145th Annual Session in Orlando will have a much easier time visiting the 700 technical exhibits this coming October. They will experience the association's newest exhibiting concept, the ADA Marketplace.

"The ADA Marketplace will revolutionize the way our Annual Session guests interact and learn about products and services," says John S. Olmsted, D.D.S., a Greensboro, N.C., practitioner and chairperson, Council on ADA Sessions. "It provides an environment that encourages Annual Session attendees to spend more time in the exhibit hall, comparing products and services through a consumer-friendly design and easily navigable exhibit floor."

In the ADA Marketplace, the various exhibits are displayed under four easy-to-find, color-coded clusters: Materials and Infection Control, Instruments and Equipment, Dental Services, and Over-the-Counter and Pharmaceuticals.

"Clustering provides attendees with a broad selection of a variety of products and services at a single convenient location instead of a series of unrelated exhibits," adds Dr. Olmsted.

"It allows us to create four compact, easy-to-navigate shows from one big show," says Craig S. Yarborough, D.D.S., Council on ADA Sessions, and associate dean, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco. "This will make the exhibit experience easier, more efficient and provide more opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to interact and conduct business."

Dr. Yarborough adds, "Our goal is to make the ADA Annual Session the best meeting in the country for our attendees and exhibitors."

Orlando's Orange County Convention Center is the site of the ADA 2004 Annual Session, beginning September 30 through October 3. For more information, visit www.ada.org/goto/session.
