Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc. recently signed an agreement with United Concordia Companies, Inc. (United Concordia) of Harrisburg, Pa., to receive dental electronic attachments with eClaims from Dentrix customers.
With eClaims Attachments, dentists can attach any patient's image from the DENTRIX database to an electronic claim. This service eliminates the need for double entry of data, and streamlines insurance submission and processing. The end result is increased efficiency and quicker payment on claims for the practice and easy access to all applicable information for insurance payors.
When an insurance claim is created electronically, the dentist can easily choose to attach any applicable image. This process eliminates delays in payment by providing all pertinent information from the start, not as it's requested by the payor.
With more than 100,000 claims processed daily from Dentrix customers, United Concordia predicts this arrangement will increase electronic claim volume reduce in-bound mailroom expenses and eliminate the need to return x-rays to dentists.
