Oklahoma dentist ad features Internet sensation Sweet Brown
As an Oklahoman, I just laughed and laughed the first time I watched Sweet Brown's interview. A friend sent me the link to her interview following a fire ("Oh Lord, it's a far") in her apartment complex. When she went to get her "cold pop," she thought somebody was barbecuing, and she's got bronchitis! "Ain't nobody got time for that!" Then, of course, Sweet Brown went viral, and everyone started chanting, "Ain't nobody got time for that."
Here's her original Oklahoma City TV interview following the "far."
Now Shortline Dental in Tulsa, Oklahoma, (home base of DIQ) produced a commercial for their dental office featuring Sweet Brown. What a sweet deal for her! And of course, this time she "ain't got time" for a toothache, which she figured out she had after drinking her "cold pop." The interview is even set in an apartment complex like the original interview.
But now she declares that "everybody's got time" to go to the dentist to take care of their problem.
I bet the ad will gain Shortline Dental some attention. I have to admit it caught my eye and I think it's pretty clever. (I like the idea of using Internet sensations for commercials. Think new VW commercial.) Hopefully the commercial will also bring into the dental office those all-important new patients.
I can still hum a few bars of "Ain't Nobody Got Time for That!" Will you join me?
