On behalf of BriteSmile, I am pleased to announce that Bruce Fleming, a 20-year veteran of Johnson & Johnson, will be joining the company as President.
Bruce has a long and disguished history in the oral care sector. At Johnson & Johnson, he held a variety of senior management and marketing positions, including extensive experience on such products as REACH Toothbrush, Johnson & Johnson Dental Floss, ACT Fluoride Dental Rinse and STIM-U-Dent Plaque Removers as Worldwide Vice President. In this capacity, Bruce led product introductions, capital investments and business development activities. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of OTC consumer products at Novartis.
As President, Bruce will be responsible for all sales, marketing and operations for our Centers and Associated Centers in the U.S., with a focus on accelerating growth in domestic sales. I will continue to focus on the long-term strategic direction of company, focusing on further securing our position as the worldwide leader in the teeth whitening market and continuing our rapid expansion in international markets.
We could not have invented a more qualified professional to lead the company. Bruce brings to BriteSmile a strong background in oral care products and years of experience in consumer marketing. As we look to grow our consumer base and solidify BriteSmile as the premier brand in professional teeth whitening, Bruce will be key part of the equation.
