GC America was proud to donate a variety of products to the Service International Dental Team, which provided dental care to a total of 203 patients in Kosovo in the month of April. The Service Team also taught many Kosovo dentists about proper composite restoration placement and bonding techniques. The Service International Dental Team consisted of 5 dentists and one hygienist; this team worked at its seven-chair dental clinic in Gjakova, Kosovo.
The Service International Dental Team provided X-rays, perio treatment, restorations and extractions to 203 people in need of dental care. The total for all services rendered was approximately $136,000 USD. Dr. Mark M. Ortinau, DDS, Director for Service International stated, "Throughout the week we saw many debilitated cases that the only treatment we could do was extractions. We also saw many patients whose teeth we could restore and save."
"The product donation from GC America aided Service International's team to better service Kosovo's great need for dental care and restorations," said Ortinau.
