CHARLOTTE, North Carolina--Sirona Dental Systems, a leading producer of dental CAD/CAM systems, has announced that rising sales of its inLab CAD/CAM system to numerous United States Air Force, Army, and Navy bases have positioned the unit as a leading solution for military bases throughout North America and abroad.

After being evaluated by the USAF Dental Evaluation and Consultation Services in 2005, Sirona inLab was rated EXCELLENT for use in large-volume USAF dental laboratories.

Based on this accomplishment, inLab was quickly adopted by numerous United States Air Force, Army, and Navy bases, as well as military bases worldwide such as Guam, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Azores, United Kingdom, and the Far East.

Essentially, Sirona inLab is a CAD/CAM system developed by laboratory technicians for laboratory technicians. The USAF DECS conducts an extensive program of dental product evaluations.

The individual product evaluations commonly include laboratory testing in the DECS laboratories and clinical-user evaluations at federal dental service clinics around the world. At the end of the typical 6-month evaluation, the DECS awards an overall rating to the clinically-tested products.

To date, more than 75 Air Force Bases, eleven Army Bases, and six Naval Bases in the US and abroad are using Sirona's inLab/inEos technology.
